Failed 25km.

I’ve never felt so unwell on a run in my life.

It was an evening run, heading out at 18:45, expecting to be 2-3hours. I only covered around 10km. The longest 10 km I’ve ever run.

At every step, I wanted to be sick. Every 5-10 minutes, I had to stop to lean over a bush just in case. At first, I thought if I kept running it would lighten up, but it only got worse. I ended up taking a taxi home.

Never felt like that before. My best guess is that it was not leaving enough space between my dinner and running. Then again, I had only had a small portion and had waited 1.5 hours…

I’d actually tried a run earlier this morning, which had also failed after only 1.6km. Mainly this was because I started coughing badly whilst running.

So, today was just not the day; sometimes that happens.

However, it does mean I need to push the training plan back a week, moving 25km to next week and so on and so forth. This is fine; the plan allows for such adjustments.

Just irritating, as there were no obvious reasons why things went wrong.
