Beginning

Before beginning a marathon, there is a moment when you freeze. You ask yourself, can I do it? What if I can’t make time for training? What if I sustain an injury and can no longer keep going?

Fair enough questions.

Then your brain tells you to shut up and start running.

Yesterday I completed my legs workout. I’ve sure felt those quads today, with every step around the office and every climb up those flights of stairs. Not to mention in martial arts. A consistent dull aching following me like a shadow.

To be honest, I’m impressed they even hurt as this had been my first home legs workout in forever with far lighter weights than what I’d use in the gym. I made a random routine, with sets of squats, lunges, and heel lifts.

Obviously it worked. Good to know.
